Agricultural Research and Extension Project has been conducting from the assistance of HMG/N and Asian Development Bank's loan. The project was started, after the agreement in September 18, 1997 , from November 1997. This project has covered 23 districts, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Saptari, Siraha, Dhanusa, Mahotari, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Bara, Parsa, Kavre, Bhaktapur, Gorkha Tanahun, Chitawan, Nawalparasi, Rupandehi, Kapilbastu, Banke, Bardiya, Kailali and Kanchanpur. The HMG/N has contributed $6.5 million and $24.3 million loaned by Asian Development Bank for the project.
