National Seed Company Limited was established under the Company Act 2053 to supply qualitative seed required for the increment of the agricultural production. Since the company can not balance the distribution of the seed alone and to make the distribution process smooth and make sure that it reaches the rural sectors where the private sectors can not reach, Dealership Directives 2059 was introduced for the extensive and balanced distribution process.
Objectives
Professionally producing, purchasing, processing, storing and distributing the required high breed seeds for the agricultural production
Import and export of the high breed seed
Conduct trainings and consultation services as per the tests, studies and requirements, considering the geographic situation of the country to improvise different types of vegetables and food crops
Retail sale of the high breed seeds to the private sectors
Production of contemporary breeder seeds in coordination with concerned authority
