NATIONAL CO-OPERATIVE UNIONS LIMITED
National Co-operative Unions Limited was established under the Co-operative Act, 2048 in 2050, Asadh 6 with an objective to provide guidance to the co-operative movement of achieving long-term development through uniformity, democracy, social equality, gender equity, etc.
Objectives
Active participation of the public for the extension and development of Nepal's co-operative movement as per the co-operative principle
Support in the business development and economical and social programs of the co-operative organizations to increase the social and economic standard of the people
Assist in leadership development and improvement in the management of the co-operative organizations
Increase in mutual assistance of the like-minded national, regional and international organizations
Provide leadership to the overall co-operative movement and represent in the nationally and internationally
Major activities
Inspire the co-operative attitude of the people for healthy development and expansion of the co-operative movement by publication of co-operative activities
Conduct national trainings, workshop conferences and co-operative education programs
Mange the import and supply of the chemical/biological fertilizers and agricultural inputs
Promote the benefits of co-operatives by coordinating co-operative organizations and government authorities
Represent and act as the spokesman of the co-operative movement nationally and internationally
Promotion and establish National Co-operative Bank for the benefit of the co-operative organizations
