COTTON DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
Under this ministry, since 2044 BS, Cotton Development Committee has been functioning in accordance to the development and expansion policy for the cotton farming. This committee motives to supply raw materials to the cloth and thread industries in the country after depth research and tests on the cotton farming by encouraging the farmers of the terai area to use modern technologies of cotton farming for the promotion and expansion of the farming.
Objectives
Produce the raw material required for the cloth and thread industry in the country
Help to decrease cotton import
Specifically, increase the earning of the small farmers
Increase the rural employment opportunities
