NATIONAL TEA & COFFEE DEVELOPMENT BOARD

To accomplish and simply the cultivation and manufacturing of Tea and coffee, production of high quality and quantity, implementing modern technology and marketing management like Export and Import a solid rule and regulation was necessary to establish and run. The National Tea and coffee Development Board was Constituted under the NTCDB Act 2049 i.e. 1992 A.D. by His Majesty the Government. It's main objectives is to formulate plans and policies for the development of Tea and Coffee at the national level and to strengthen the public, private and the small farmers sectors involved in the Tea and Coffee industry.

 
Objectives
  1. To formulate and recommend production, processing, market promotion, import and export policies relating to Tea and Coffee industry and cause to implement approved policies.
  2. To identify problems in Tea and Coffee development and recommend measures to solve them.
  3. To manage the supply of inputs for Tea and Coffee cultivation as well as processing
  4. To provide Training and Technical support to individuals and institution involved in Tea and Coffee development through the establishment of Training and Research Centers.
  5. To conduct study for the development of Tea and Coffee sector
  6. To provide other necessary support to Tea and Coffee.
 
Executive Committee

Under the chairmanship of the Honorable Minister of Agriculture, the Board has an Executive committee, which consists of 17 members from various Ministries, Organizations and private sectors. The Executive Director of the Board is nominated by the His Majesty's of Government and serves as the chief Administrator of the Board. The Executive Director will also be the Member secretary of the executive committee.

  12. Assist HMG in policy formulation
