Understanding the importance of agricultural communication for agricultural development, Agricultural Information Division was established in the year 2022 in order to publicize the agricultural technology, producing the agricultural visualization and broadcasting them. Broadening the vision about the importance of agricultural communication for agricultural development, the necessity was felt to meet the demand and new challenges of ever changing situations. Therefore, to assist in the communication services of the departments under agricultural ministry and to flow the information amongst every farmers of the kingdom directly or indirectly, in the year 2046, Falgun 13, HMG/N has decided to change Agricultural Information Division to Agricultural Communication Division. Seeking the necessity to improve the agricultural technology and information by effective coordination of all the agricultural bodies, in Shrawan 2057, agricultural communication division was modified to agricultural information and communication center, directly under the roof of agricultural and cooperative ministry. |

| Objectives |

Increasing the interrelation between the farmers, agricultural promoters and researchers by modern information technology and encourage the agricultural community to follow the knowledge-based agricultural system.

Ease the consumption of the scientific findings in agricultural sector, food and nutrition, agricultural market and agribusiness, cooperative related technology and policy makers for variety of information and ideas, agricultural technologist involved with governmental and non-governmental organizations, agricultural scientists, ago-processing and individuals, organizations, corporations, and farmers involved in marketing

| Major activities |
- Broadcasting, publicizing and distributing the mounting technology and information related with agriculture, livestock, food and nutrition, agricultural environment conservation, agricultural market and agribusiness promotion, cooperatives, etc.
- Broadcasting the government policies, laws and rules and regulations relating to agricultural sector, agribusiness promotion and promotion of the cooperative campaign.
- Informing about the new programs of the government through agricultural programs for the rural development.
- Provide suggestions and knowledge about agricultural communication.
